Staff and Volunteers

Jonathan, CNP | Director

Jonathan is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) and he became the director of GSN in 2016. He loves Kazakhstan and the city of Almaty. His hope is that more people will learn to embrace a servant leadership perspective for their lives and work. Prior to joining GSN as the director he was an instructor at a vocational university.

Jason | Project Coordinator

Jason has spent more than twenty years in Kazakhstan working in a variety of roles. As project manager of GSN, he hopes to provide a variety of opportunities for students and young professionals to grow in their understanding of themselves, the world around them and English.

Volunteers

The following people currently serve as volunteers with GSN.

  • Joel has lived in Kazakhstan for over 20 years. He has served as the director of an NGO and of a business focusing on translation and editing. He volunteers with GSN as a trainer and consultant, helping our clients understand how they can be more effective leaders.

  • Scott is new to KZ and is currently a student. He has a background in engineering and is currently working towards becoming certified to teach English as a second language.

  • Colleen is new to KZ and is currently a student. She holds a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language.

  • Jacob is new to KZ and currently a student. He has a background in engineering.

  • Abbey is new to KZ and is currently a student. She has a background in human services.
